Tequila Mockingbird: Are You There God? It’s Me, Margarita
Happy Margarita Day! I learned what a momentous day today was while I sat at my desk at work, so I’m happy to report I’m now sitting in my apartment with a margarita in hand. Well, on the table as I type this. Anyway, Margarita Day got me thinking about the novelty book, Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist. A friend gifted this to me during the holidays, and I have yet to make any of the beverages inside. What a great day to start!

Rainy Days and Book Nostalgia
It’s been steadily raining all day, and according to the local weatherwoman tomorrow is the only day we will be getting relief from the feels-colder-than-it-is wetness. Rainy days make me want to be at home cooking a warm, delicious meal and settling in with a thick book to read. And depending on the meal, and sometimes the book, I’ll have a glass of wine, a mug of tea, or maybe just water if I’ve had too much of the first two. March Reading Challenge: Introduction
We are rounding the corner of the second week of March, and since the official start of spring is just two weeks away, I’ve decided to set goals that are about cleaning out clutter and focusing on organization since the beginning of the year has been a little hectic. These goals carry over to my Reading Challenge, as I’m setting out to read two books that have either been sitting in my bookshelf or have received many “renews” from the library. A Litte Bit of Nothing
Happy Sunday night, friends. Like others who have a frequently consistent 9-5 or 8-4 weekday work or school schedule, my Sunday night is a combination of preparation (food prep, clothes prep, weather prep, among others) and milking the last few hours of relaxation, hobby, or blogging time. For the past 4 months, my Sundays have consisted of football watching and eating horribly delicious food, be it lunch for a 1:00 game or snacks throughout the afternoon and evening and half of the night for the rest of the “presentations,” as the NFL so eloquently describes the tackling, hitting, and rugged gameplay broadcast on my television.
