Before I get into how excited I am for my favorite month and season of the year, I suppose I should talk about the books I read, started, and hauled in August. After a sort of slumpy July, it feels so good to look back on the seven books I finished this month, especially since it’s on par with June. In other words, what a great summer of reading!

We have officially made it to the second half of 2018. I hope you’re doing well, and really hope you had a better reading month than I did. Is there a term for when you think you’ve read a large number of books, but when you look back at your actual stats the number is far fewer?

Well I am fresh from finishing my final book for June – which I’ve listed below, of course – and I am happy to say that it was the SEVENTH book I read in June, which is the most books I’ve read in a month since I don’t know when. I ingested so many great stories, so without further ado, let’s get into my June Wrap-Up.

I feel quite satisfied with the books I read, acquired, and started in May. Overall, this has been a pretty good month, and I’ve lived up to my promise [to myself] from last month that I would unhaul some books this month. For a book unhaul it’s short, but for me, it’s a grueling five books long (read it here). I hope you met your reading goals for the month, and are looking forward to June. Well the sunshine and increasingly good weather certainly deserve some credit for the things I accomplished this month, in addition to the great books and blog posts I read. Again, I did not do a book haul for this month because again, I read mostly library books and a couple of ebooks for reviews. I’ll get into why I will have a book haul for May at the end of this post, but first, I’ll talk about the books I did read.
