November Wrap-Up 2022
And just like that, it’s time for another monthly wrap-up.
November was a bit crazy, weather-wise, work-wise, and writing-wise. I’m definitely feeling the effects—exhaustion, mostly—of nonstop “doing.” I’m ready for a little break…
Books Read
I barely made progress in the books I was reading last month, so nothing finished.
National Novel Writing Month
I participated in NaNoWriMo once again this year. I didn’t reach the 50,000 word goal, but I did finish the month with 28,197 words written. I had so much momentum for the first couple of weeks, but I sort of fell out of love with my idea and characters. I want to return to the story eventually, but I think it needs some outlining and structure before I add any more narrative. Maybe I’ll be ready in time for next year’s challenge.
Miscellany
As I mentioned above, I’m feeling tired. Is it burnout? Possibly. Am I not drinking enough water? Probably. I’ve been making at least two dinners each week at home and it’s been more fun than I expected, but it still eats (ha ha) a huge chunk of my days and it makes me fall behind on housework which prevents me from having energy to read, blog, etc. I envy those who love cooking and all it entails. I’ve been working on a schedule for housework that will hopefully be more of a habit once the new year arrives, and will allow me to feel like I can enjoy my hobbies again. I’m hoping December feels more restful.
As always, I’d love to hear about what you’ve been reading (including any blog posts you’ve enjoyed lately), and would love to know how you’re feeling as we head into the final month of 2022.
Let’s chat in the comments.
