There's Something About the books From My Bookshelf. From My Bookshelf is a blog feature I write in order to share the books and titles in my personal library. Every month I revisit favorite stories, to be read novels, and forgotten gems from my bookshelf. They all have their own place in my heart, and therefore I will talk about them in multiple capacities. Sometimes I'll be sentimental, other times I'll be superficial (book covers deserve love, too); either way I hope you enjoy learning about what's on my bookshelves.

I am a proponent for collecting multiple editions of the same book ā even unread books. My Jane Austen collection is particularly ā ahem ā stacked, and among the few of her titles I havenāt read, Persuasion stands three paperback spines across. Ā

From My Bookshelf: 800+ Club
I don’t have a lot of huge books on my bookshelves, but as I was brainstorming ideas for this month’s From My Bookshelf post, I became curious as to how many books with 1,000 pages or more are in my personal library. Turns out there are just two (unless there are more hiding somewhere), so I decreased the page number “requirement” to 800+ so I would have enough books to talk about in this post. š

From My Bookshelf: Heartbeat, Flipped
This month I’m only featuring two titles From My Bookshelf – with good reason, of course. The two books,Ā Heartbeat by Sharon Creech andĀ Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen, have a single subject on their respective covers; the former is exceptionally drawn and the latter is full of whimsy.Ā I have read both of these books, but they are certainly due for a re-read (and maybe an un-haul, but I won’t dwell on that now).Ā

This installment of From My Bookshelf is brought to you by the final month of summer and nostalgia. I knew I wanted to feature one particular author for this post, because for a few summers in my teens I almost exclusively read her books. The ones I read were so indulgent, so captivating; perfect for the beach or reading in a tent on a camping trip.
