Old Books, New Books | Sunday Morning Thoughts

Today’s bookstagram post contained three of my vintage books, with one of them open to show the slightly scratched off nameplate featuring a quote I’ve been ruminating on this morning – and will likely do so every so often in the future.

Unfortunately I can’t find the source, but wanted to share it here on Sunday Morning Thoughts because I think it’s exquisitely timeless:

Old books, as you will know, are books of the world’s youth; and the new books are the fruits of its age.
