WWW Wednesday #49 | 12.28.2022

The latest on what I’ve been reading—or what I have not been reading—lately (for the final time in 2022).

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post here for others to read.

The three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Lists of 2023 fiction releases to get a jump start on next year’s TBR additions.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson. As I’ve continued with this series I’ve come to terms with the fact that I don’t particularly enjoy the “magic” system in this world. This feels quite sacrilegious but everything else about the world I love: the characters, the settings (and descriptions), and even the political strife. It’s definitely a comfort series in the sense that I simply enjoy being immersed in the pages.

Anyway, I will be continuing on with the final part of this Mistborn era (possibly sooner than later). Luckily for me, it was just published last month.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I will likely return to more lists of 2023 book releases — I’m not totally committed to finishing any more books by the end of the year, but you can find out if I do in my wrap-up which will posted in a few days.

Did you answer the three W’s this week? Feel free to link your WWW Wednesday post below or just share which book(s) you’re currently invested in.

Happy reading!
