NaNoWriMo 2021 | Week 2 Update

We have arrived at the end of week two of National Novel Writing Month 2021 – how are you doing? Hanging in there? Ready for more? Going out to stock up on your writing snacks? Similarly to week one, I did not write every day during week two. I did, however, have somewhat of a breakthrough with my storyline. I’ve been trying to flesh out many of the scenes I’ve written over the past couple of years, and while much of the worldbuilding and story background needs to be stabilized, I have chosen a new plotline to travel on; it has “sequel” written all over it. So I’m feeling somewhat refreshed and inspired heading into the third week of NaNoWriMo.

My current total word count is 7,851 words. Over the next week, I’m hoping to reach at least 15,000 words, which was the goal I had put in place for this week. But I am feeling excited for this new branch of my story, so I’m feeling confident that 15,000 words is achievable this week.

Feel free to share your successes, goals, or fails from the second week of National Novel Writing Month in a comment below, and if you are interested, follow my daily progress on Twitter or my NaNo profile.
