#AtoZChallenge: In Progress
I am not ashamed to admit that I read several books at once, so to celebrate this (and remind myself to finish those I’m reading now), I in my #AtoZChallenge is for in progress.
I have read of some mystical individuals who only read one book at a time, and I marvel at them. My tendency to procrastinate and my habit of starting new projects without finishing old ones is the perfect combination for my love of reading a handful of books at once. Here are my current in progress reads (in between the bookends I recently made and am quite proud of):
My Cousin Rachel Daphne du Maurier: I’m almost finished with this [for the second time]. Yes, I read it and then started rereading it almost immediately.
The Handmaid’s Tale Margaret Atwood: I’m also almost finished with this [for the first time]. While I don’t want it to end because Margaret Atwood is a phenomenal writer, I can’t wait for the end to see what resolution or conclusion the book comes to. I also am dying to watch the Hulu adaptation and I refuse to watch any of it without finishing the book first.
The Picture of Dorian Gray Oscar Wilde: I read this in college and picked it back up when I discovered Showtime’s Penny Dreadful. Wait, did I finish watching Penny Dreadful ?
Poison Study Maria V. Snyder: I haven’t made it very far in this book, but I have chosen this series for my Reading Challenge so I will read all of it.
Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales Brothers Grimm: If you’ve been following my blog you already know that I am working through this large tome. If you haven’t, learn more about my fairy tale project here.
Do you multi-read or are you a single book reader? Tell me what you’re reading in the comments below, and let me know if there’s another book I should add to my in progress list!
