To Read or Not To Read?
I know, a crazy question. With a seemingly obvious answer: READ! But I also know that I’m not the only one whose To Be Read list (or current reads list) would take years to finish; or the only one who is surrounded by unread books on bedside tables, bookshelves, coffee tables, dining room tables, and really any appropriate surface in one’s place of residence. Sometimes, it’s best to just return that library book you’ve now renewed four times or accumulated enough overdue fees to have to stop buying coffee for a week. It’s 9:00, and this story I’ve been working on still isn’t finished. It’s 9:00, and I’m worried about the word count – maybe I should worry about going to bed… It’s 9:02, and I’m still thinking about this story. I should take a break; I’ve put a lot into it today and I don’t want to overthink, overstress, and overwrite.
