Two Podcasts for May
These two podcasts are rich additions to my list, which seems to be growing just as rapidly as my To Be Read (TBR) list(s). You can still check out my suggestions from February and March, and as always, leave your podcast suggestions in the comments or send them to me via email. Happy listening!
The NYPL Podcast
From Ta-Nehisi Coates to Joyce Carol Oates, Marjane Satrapi to Matthew Weiner, and of course so many more, the New York Public Library hosts conversations about writing, television, photography, and life. The richness of this podcast is irresistible, and must be added to your list, if it’s not already on it already. For timing, plan on about an hour to two hours, depending on the episode and number of guests.
New Episode: Every Tuesday
Listen: At The NYPL Podcast, iTunes, Stitcher, and SoundCloud
The Man Booker Prize Podcast
The Man Booker Prize celebrates the best of global fiction, and one book receives the honor each year. A longlist, and then a shortlist of titles are released throughout the year that are eligible for the Prize, which inflates my TBR list every year. Anyway, their podcast goes “behind-the-scenes” with literary experts to explore, discuss, and celebrate the love of books. It’s perfect to listen to during my commute, as the episodes are under 45 minutes.
New Episode: They coincide with the list announcements, so stay in the loop by following @ManBookerPrize or visiting their website.
