October Wrap-Up 2021
October was a good month for reading and for indulging in autumn activities. Baking, pumpkin carving, and styling my bookshelves a dozen times took up a lot of my free time.
On the reading front, my exploration of Scribd’s romance section continued. I also read quite a few short stories, and even managed to read a novel to review here on the blog (wow, go me!). Now if I could only manage to stop mindlessly scrolling TikTok—an app deletion may be very near in my future…
Anyway, in addition to the books I read, I did DNF two others. Two of the romance books I started really overdid it on the body dysmorphia and body shaming fronts; they were quite unbearable. Otherwise, I’m happy to report that I enjoyed what I read in October.

Miscellany
Not much else has been going on; I’m still woefully behind on my laundry, my bookshelves desperately need to be decluttered and dusted, and I have some general Adult things to sort out. November is going to be a busy month (how is it already November? HOW?), but for the rest of my evening I’m going to decompress by not thinking too much about what’s ahead and maybe download another smutty romance…
What did you read (or not read) in October? Any recommendations? If you’ve written a Wrap-Up, feel free to link it in the comments!
