My Life in Books Tag

This tag came across my radar via Kristin Kraves Books. I recommend visiting her blog and the post here, and then share your own answers to the book tag! Here we go.

Find a book for each of your initials.

K: Kind One by Laird Hunt
M: Moby-Dick by Herman Melville
M: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Count your age along your bookshelf. What book is it?

The Secret by Charlotte Brontë (25)

Pick a book set in your city/country.

I will do state/country, since I’m quite sure there isn’t a book set in the town I live, so…
Maine: The Police Know Everything by Sanford Phippen
United States: The View From Lazy Point by Carl Safina

Pick a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to.

Real: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
“Not Real:” Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

Pick a book that’s your favorite color.

I have very few green books. Shame. But I will pick one of the newest books on my shelf, Infinite Ground by Martin MacInnes because the hardcover is absolutely my favorite shade of green.

Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

All of my Harry Potter books; all of my Beverly Cleary books; Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech; the Signet Classics Two Gothic Classics by Women edition containing The Italian by Ann Radcliffe and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen.

Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Dune by Frank Herbert, because the first and only time I’ve opened it was in 7th or 8th grade, for school, and I wasn’t feeling very readerly. Also, Moby-Dick by Herman Melville. The full version. The one that should be split into two books: a potentially interesting story and a whale encyclopedia.

Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish reading it?

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, which I am reading now and am trying to complete for my 2017 Reading Challenge will probably be reading until the end of time. It’s a beast.

Let me know if you decide to do this Book Tag (or if you’d like me to tag you in future Book Tags) so I can read your answers, and share your thoughts about mine below.
