April was unfortunately not a month for finishing books.
Books I Did Not Finish
- Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann
- Paperback
- This was my book club’s pick for the month, and I ultimately preferred reading news articles and finding online resources that speak about the murders and conspiracies that affected the Osage Tribe. I couldn’t quite get used to Grann’s blend of journalistic and literary writing, so I looked elsewhere for information about this period of U.S. history, including:

- The Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History and Culture: Osage Murders (Oklahoma Historical Society)
- “Killers of the Flower Moon” Granddaughter Shares Complex Connection with Osage Murders (tulsakids)
- Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
- Paperback
- Yeah, I’m still [very] slowly getting through this. It’s definitely time to take a break from it and pick it up again in the future.

Miscellany
Work has really been taking a lot out of me over the past few months. I’m still really struggling to form a consistent routine, and I’m starting to feel like I never will. I’ve considered that maybe I’ve reached a point in my life where I don’t thrive on structured days and weeks, but I don’t feel like I’m thriving, so I will continue to work on daily habits one at a time.
