Quarter 4 Wrap-Up | 2020 Reading Challenge

The final day of the final quarter of 2020 has arrived. I’ll be following last year’s format for my overall wrap-up, but this post is dedicated solely to the books I read in October, November, and December. If you are interested, you can read my previous wrap-ups here.

It’s been a good quarter for reading, despite a more dismal December reading record (remember, it’s all relative). I have really indulged in Agatha Christie audiobooks (thanks, Scribd!) and Shirley Jackson novels, participated in a couple of great blog tours, and sprinkled in a couple of rereads. Here are the specifics:

OCTOBER

Little Eyes by Samanta Schweblin

The Wolf of Oren-Yaro (Chronicles of the Bitch Queen #1) by K.S. Villoso

The Road Through the Wall by Shirley Jackson

Hangsaman by Shirley Jackson

Black Coffee by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

The Fifth Season (Broken Earth #2) by N.K. Jemisin (reread)

Lord Edgware Dies by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

The Pale Horse by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

NOVEMBER

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

Peril at End House by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

Two Old Women: An Alaskan Legend of Betrayal, Courage and Survival by Velma Wallis

Carrion by Graeme Cumming (Blog Tour)

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus (Blog Tour)

The Gilded King (Sovereign #1) by Josie Jaffrey

Death in the Clouds by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

The Cousins | Blog Tour

DECEMBER

The Silver Queen (Sovereign #2) by Josie Jaffrey

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy #1) by Deborah Harkness

Hercule Poirot’s Christmas by Agatha Christie (audiobook)

I also read a couple of short stories and some poetry, and increased my general TBR exponentially (as always).

How have your reading habits been for the past month or three? What have you enjoyed or discovered? Let’s chat in the comments, and stay tuned for my 2020 reading wrap-up and 2021 reading outlook. Cheers to more months of reading and the new year! 📚🍾
