The Waffle Book Tag

Is this the best book tag out there? It certainly features the best breakfast food/dessert/anytime meal, so I’d say it’s pretty high up there on the list. A special thanks to the creator, Kat over at Novels and Waffles, for coming up with each prompt and of course, highlighting the superior food that is the waffle. Leslie Knope would be proud.

(Although Kat did tag all waffle lovers in addition to some specific bloggers, I found the tag at Keep Reading Forward.)

The Rules

  • Link back to the original creator, Kat @ Novels & Waffles
  • Feel free to use any of the waffle graphics in the original post, just make sure to credit Kat
  • Tag as many people as you want (or don’t want) to. No pressure here, folks 🙂

🧇

Belgian Waffles

a book that’s a total classic

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

🧇

Whole Wheat Waffles

a book that’s completely wholesome

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume.

🧇

Eggo Waffles

a book that fills you with nostalgia

Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary.

I wrote about my nostalgia for this book here, if you’re interested.

🧇

Chocolate Waffles

a fictional character that’s sugary sweet

Do I know one of these? I must…but none are coming to mind.

🧇

Blueberry Waffles

a book that makes you feel blue

Goodbye, Vitamin by Rachel Khong.

I was not expecting to sob while reading this book, but sob I did.

🧇

Waffle Cone

a book that’s a bit different

I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid.

I have mentioned it before in multiple posts, and I will continue to do so.

🧇

Maple Syrup

a series you stuck with until the end

There are a few, but I think the phrase “stuck with” best describes my commitment to the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. If you have read the series, especially the second book, you will understand.

🧇

Waffle Iron

your favorite bookish accessory

My bookmarks!
