[Top Ten] Bookish Items I Would Like To Own

That Artsy Reader Girl hosts Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly themed blogging meme for book lovers. This week, the theme is “Bookish Items/Merchandise I’d Like to Own”, so I’ve selected ten items from my reasonable and extravagant wish lists and have written them below.

1. Elsa Peretti® Heart Bookmark from Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. has been recently expanding their selection of home decor and accessories, and this sterling silver bookmark is one of the lesser of the ridiculous items in those categories. It’s something I say I would never buy even if I could spend $60 on a bookmark, but in case you need to know: that’s a lie.

2. Jane Austen Replica Ring from Jane Austen’s House Museum

Simple and elegant, this ring is “a true and authentic copy” of the one on display at the Museum, which had been in the Austen family for many years.

3. Balloon Dog Bookend (in every color) from imm Living

I’m oddly obsessed with this bookend design, although not too much I suppose (nervous laughter) since I’ve never purchased one. Anyway, I’ve always been pretty indifferent about balloon animals, but there’s something about the colors and patterns of these, and the fact that they’re bookends, that really draws me in.
(side note: the coordinating lamp is a nice idea, but I think the design needs to be reworked a little.)

4. Book Sleeve by StoryTimeSleeve

I love this Sapphire Roses pattern, but really all of the sleeves from StoryTimeSleeve are beautiful, and look so well made. I can think of at least five of my books that would be a perfect fit inside (not all at once, of course).

5. Harry Potter™ Hogwarts Gift Crate from Williams Sonoma

I know this is cheating a little, since there are multiple items in the crate and plenty of single items available in Williams Sonoma’s HP collection, but the entire crate fits the extravagant theme I’m going for here. Hogwarts Crests Cookie Cutters, a Hogwarts Spatula, Hogwarts Beverage Bottle, Hogwarts Towel and 2 Snitch Ice Balls are inside.

6. Phat Dog Vintage Libary 1,000 Piece Puzzle from Galison

Perfect for a rainy day or blustery snow storm; this puzzle would also be fun to put together while listening to an audiobook.

7. Vintage Books Throw Blanket by Magenta Rose Designs for Society6

This throw blanket has such beautiful colors, and it would look great in my apartment [and draped around me like a cloak]. I like how much depth the holly pattern gives the shelves; I would certainly use it outside of the holiday season.

8. A Candle(s) from Frostbeard Studio

These are the first bookish candles I ever encountered, and everything from their scent descriptions to their colors and labels are oh so charming.

9. Personalized Ex Libris Stamp

I would love my own Ex Libris Stamp – although whether or not I’d actually stamp my books is unknown. There are a lot of pretty ones on Etsy, but one of my favorites is this one from ExlibrisGallery.

10. Book Spine High Heels from Charlotte Olympia

These magical heels were part of the 2013 Fairytale Collection and if I had had the chance (and funds) to purchase them, I certainly would have. Unfortunately the only ones I can find for sale are not in my size. Shucks.

What are some of the items on your bookish wishlist(s)? Do we share any of the same items? Let me know in a comment, and be sure to check out more posts for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday here
