2018 Louisa May Alcott Reading Challenge

< < I finished Eight Cousins for this Reading Challenge, so if you’d like to read my thoughts on it just click here. > >

Tarissa from In The Bookcase kindly invited me to join her 2018 Louisa May Alcott Reading Challenge, and since I’ve been racking my brain thinking about what books to read this month (ha ha ha) I have decided to take part!

The goal of this challenge is simply to read words written by or about Louisa May Alcott throughout the month of June. Whether you have never read her books and are looking for a sign that you need to, or you believe it’s time to re-read your favorite LMA books and/or stories, this challenge is for you! As you know, readers of my blog, I finished Little Women last month so I’m excited to read more of LMA so soon. Below I’ve laid out what I’ll be reading, and if you would like to join in on this challenge yourself, all the specific details can be found at In The Bookcase.

What I’ll Be Reading:

Since I am already going to be reading many novels this month (or plan to, anyway), I sought out a story collection or at least an anthology from which I could pick and choose stories from my library. To my luck, my library had the following Library of America Edition:

I want to read at least Eight Cousins; if I can finish that, I will move onto Rose in Bloom, which is the sequel to Eight Cousins. And, if by some miracle I finish Rose in Bloom (together they add up to 466 pages), I will start Work.

Have you read any of these stories? If you have, let me know what you thought when you read them, and again, if you would like to join this challenge, click on the image below.
