The Rapid Fire Book Tag was created by booktuber Girl Reading, although I found it on The Little Booknerds in the Corner blog. I’m not going to think about each question too much, and do my best to answer them as the title of the tag requires. Here we go.

Some of these answers surprised me – like the Paperback or Hardback? question: I’m just very much in a hardback-loving mood right now. And the Borrow or Buy? because I haven’t purchased a book (aside from my Book of the Month picks, one of which I answered with above) in quite a while.

An Historian
Once I started moving around, I embraced ebooks! I love that I can carry all of my books with me on my Kobo 🙂 I also love that if I only have a minute or two, they are on my phone for a quick read, as well. I’m also strongly in the borrowing camp – I’ve come to realise that I will never have time to re-read every book I love AND still keep reading new books, so library it is!

I like having ebooks on my phone too! It makes it easier to bring a book to work for reading on my breaks. But physical books will always be my preference. I’m a frequent borrower as well, but there’s something about not having purchased a book in a while that makes me want to go out and buy one (or a few)! 😛 Thanks for stopping by!

That is a great idea for a tag.:) I also always prefer real books, there is something about holding a book in your hands instead of a piece of technology I think

I love my e-reader, it is so practical, but nothing beats the feel of a real book!I; I’ve never been an audio book person either!

I’ve only fully listened to a few audiobooks; I’m always hesitant because I don’t want a boring or dull narrator to ruin a story for me. So far that hasn’t happened! 😛

Maybe one day… so far the only audio stories I’ve heard have been kids books at school,
and I have to say I don;’t always enjoy the way they have been told, but then I’m a story teller… I like accents, and props, you know!!!

I see what you are saying – sometimes books (especially children’s books) need those visual accompaniments!

For young children, definitely! And I have a lot of children who have English as a second language in my classes, so the visuals and expressions used tell the story more than the words sometimes!
Shallow Reflections
Okay, I’ll try again now that I’m home and not using my iPad. Not sure why I couldn’t leave comment earlier. I used to read e-books exclusively and I’ve gotten back to hardcover and paperbacks again. I’ve been going to the library and enjoying it a lot! I’ve pushed myself to read fiction again – I had a long, dry spell where all I could read was non-fiction. I’m reading Richard Russo’s ‘Everybody’s Fool’ right now and loving it. I’ve never used the edge of a blanket for a bookmark, but I have used a tissue before (not a used one though- haha!)

Oh man, I don’t think I would ever be able to read just non-fiction…and I’ve found that when I’m in a reading slump, sitting down in the library provides the cure. 🙂
